We take data protection seriously

The protection of your privacy when processing personal data is an important concern for us. When you visit our website, our web servers store the IP address of your internet service provider, the website from which you visit us, the web pages you visit on our site and the date and duration of your visit as standard. This information is essential for the technical transmission of the web pages and secure server operation. A personalised evaluation of this data does not take place.

If you send us data via contact form, this data is stored on our servers in the course of data backup. Your data will only be used by us to process your request. Your data will be treated in strict confidence. Your data will not be passed on to third parties.

Personal data

Personal data are data about your person. This includes your name, your address and your email address. You do not have to disclose any personal data to visit our website. In some cases, we need your name and address and other information in order to provide you with the requested service.

The same applies if we supply you with information material on request or if we answer your questions. In these cases we will always point this out to you. Furthermore, we only store the data that you have automatically or voluntarily provided us with.

If you use one of our services, we generally only collect the data that is necessary to offer you our service. It is possible that we may ask you for further information, but this is voluntary. Whenever we process personal data, we do so in order to provide you with our service or to pursue our commercial objectives.

Automatically stored data

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

- Date and time of the request

- Name of the requested file

- Page from which the file was requested

- Access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.)

- used web browser and operating system

- full IP address of the requesting computer

- transmitted data volume

This data is not merged with other data sources. Processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 letter f DSGVO on the basis of our justified interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website.

For reasons of technical security, in particular to ward off attempts to attack our web server, this data is stored by us for a short period. It is not possible for us to draw conclusions about individual persons on the basis of this data. After seven days at the latest, the data is anonymised by shortening the IP address at domain level, so that it is no longer possible to establish a link to the individual user. In anonymised form, the data is also processed for statistical purposes; it is not compared with other data sets or passed on to third parties, even in part. Only within the framework of our server statistics, which we publish every two years in our activity report, is a presentation of the number of page views.

Cookies

When you visit our website, we may store information on your computer in the form of cookies. Many cookies contain a so-called cookie ID. A cookie ID is a unique identification of the cookie. It consists of a string of characters which can be used to assign Internet pages and servers to the specific Internet browser in which the cookie was stored. This enables the Internet pages and servers visited to distinguish the individual browser of the person concerned from other Internet browsers that contain other cookies. A specific Internet browser can be recognised and identified by means of the unique cookie ID.

By using session cookies, the person responsible can provide the users of this website with a user-friendly service that would not be possible without the setting of cookies.

By means of a cookie, the information and offers on our website can be optimised in the interest of the user. As already mentioned, cookies enable us to recognise the users of our website. The purpose of this recognition is to make it easier for users to use our website. For example, the user of a website that uses cookies does not have to enter his or her access data each time he or she visits the website, as this is done by the website and the cookie stored on the user's computer system. Another example is the cookie of a shopping basket in the online shop. The online shop uses a cookie to remember the articles that a customer has placed in the virtual shopping basket.

Registration on the website

The data subject has the possibility of registering on the website of the data controller by providing personal data. The following personal data will be collected: name, address, telephone number, e-mail address.

Registration on the controller's website also records the IP address allocated to the data subject by the Internet Service Provider (ISP), the date and time of registration. The storage of this data is carried out against the background that this is the only way to prevent the misuse of our services and, if necessary, to enable the clarification of criminal offences committed. In this respect, the storage of this data is necessary to protect the person responsible for processing. As a matter of principle, this data will not be passed on to third parties, unless there is a legal obligation to do so or the passing on of the data serves criminal prosecution.

The registration of the data subject under voluntary disclosure of personal data serves the data controller to offer the data subject content or services which, due to the nature of the matter, can only be offered to registered users. Registered persons are free to modify the personal data provided during registration at any time or to have them completely deleted from the data controller's database.

They undertake to treat the personal access data confidentially and not to make them available to any unauthorised third parties. We cannot accept liability for misused passwords unless we are responsible for the misuse.

With the function "stay logged in" we want to make your visit to our website as pleasant as possible. This function enables you to use our services without having to log in again each time. For security reasons, however, you will be asked to enter your password again if, for example, your personal data is to be changed or you wish to place an order. We recommend that you do not use this function if the computer is used by several users. We would like to point out that the "stay logged in" function is not available if you use a setting that automatically deletes stored cookies after each session.

Newsletter

By using the 4yourguests platform we are entitled to register you for our brands' newsletter. You will receive a welcome email from us to inform you about the registration. You have the possibility to unsubscribe (opt-out) from the newsletter at any time without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs according to the basic rates.

Security

We have taken technical and administrative security measures to protect your personal data against loss, destruction, manipulation and unauthorised access. All our employees as well as service providers working for us are obliged to comply with the applicable data protection laws.

Whenever we collect and process personal data, it is encrypted before it is transferred. This means that your data cannot be misused by third parties. Our security measures are subject to a continuous improvement process and our data protection declarations are constantly being revised. Please make sure that you have the latest version.

Rights of data subjects

You have the right to information, correction, deletion or restriction of the processing of your stored data, a right to object to the processing as well as a right to data transferability and to complain in accordance with the requirements of data protection law at any time.

Right to information:

You can demand information from us as to whether and to what extent we process your data.

Right of rectification:

If we process your data that is incomplete or incorrect, you can demand that we correct or complete it at any time.

Right to deletion:

You can demand that we delete your data if we process them unlawfully or if the processing interferes disproportionately with your legitimate protection interests. Please note that there may be reasons that prevent immediate deletion, e.g. in the case of legally regulated storage obligations.

Irrespective of the exercise of your right to deletion, we will delete your data immediately and completely, provided that there is no legal obligation to retain them.

Right to restrict processing:

You can demand that we restrict the processing of your data if

- you dispute the accuracy of the data, for a period of time that allows us to verify the accuracy of the data.

- the processing of the data is unlawful, but you refuse to allow it to be deleted and instead demand a restriction on the use of the data,

- we no longer need the data for the intended purpose, but you still need the data to assert or defend legal claims, or

- you have lodged an objection to the processing of the data.

the right to data transferability:

You can demand that we provide you with your data that you have provided us with in a structured, common and machine-readable format and that you can transfer this data to another responsible party without hindrance from us, provided that

- we process this data on the basis of a revocable consent given by you or for the fulfilment of a contract between us, and

- this processing is carried out by means of automated procedures.

If technically feasible, you can request us to transfer your data directly to another person responsible.

Right of objection:

If we process your data out of a legitimate interest, you may object to this data processing at any time; this would also apply to profiling based on these provisions. We will then no longer process your data unless we can demonstrate compelling reasons for processing which are worthy of protection and which outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms, or unless the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims. You may object to the processing of your data for the purpose of direct marketing at any time without giving reasons.

Right of appeal:

If you are of the opinion that we are processing your data in violation of German or European data protection law, please contact us so that we can clarify any questions. Of course, you also have the right to contact the supervisory authority responsible for you, the respective state office for data protection supervision.

If you wish to assert any of the above rights against us, please contact our data protection officer. In case of doubt, we may request additional information to confirm your identity.

Changes to this data protection declaration

We reserve the right to change our privacy policy if new technologies make this necessary. Please make sure that you have the latest version. If fundamental changes are made to this data protection declaration, we will announce these on our website.
